My name is Pierre B. Schweitzer, and this is my personal website. It is mainly a catalogue of my professional activities, but I may add some more extra-curricular sections later.
I was born in 1985 in the city of Marseille, on the Mediterranean coast of southern France. After studying economics, journalism and communication I worked for a few years in several small to mid-size companies. Then I started working as a freelancer, in a range of activities centered around writing. Now I work at the Aix-Marseille University, as an Associate Lecturer (half-time) and the rest of my time is mainly spent on journalism (see my podcast and a selection of news articles).
Economics is my main field of study and a real passion, but for better or worse I also read a lot of history books and I like discussing political science. I am also interested in geography, linguistics, and many other topics. I also love nature, especially enjoying the ocean and the sea : snorkeling, surfing, swimming, and taking photos, which I may add here someday. Music has also been a great part of my life since my teen years, I still practice guitar and drums.
